Soojin E. Kim

 

Experience & Practice Area

Soojin has over 20 years’ experience advising Washington cities, counties, and a port district on transportation and Transit-Oriented Development projects, real estate acquisitions, ground leasing for redevelopment, sales, procurement, public records and meetings, and grant agreements. Soojin joined Kenyon Disend in 2025 after serving as a senior attorney at the City of Bellevue where she advised the Office of Housing and Community Development Department on affordable housing financing transactions and incentive programs, and supported the Fire and IT Departments, as well as the City Manager’s Diversity Advantage and Communications teams. In the public sector, she has held various roles, including Pierce County Deputy Prosecuting Attorney (Civil Division), Special Projects Manager for King County Metro, Burien City Attorney, Port of Seattle Senior Counsel, and City of Everett Assistant City Attorney. Soojin’s earlier private practice included assisting Washington cities and public agencies on capital projects and representing commercial/institutional property owners in real estate matters.
